Book MRI Dehradun is a booking and coordination service for diagnostic imaging. You send us the prescription your doctor has written. We identify the exact study being asked for, arrange it at a diagnostic centre in Dehradun, confirm one all-inclusive price before you travel, and make sure the report reaches you the same day.
We arrange MRI, CT, PET-CT and ultrasound. The service covers Dehradun district, and we regularly book for patients travelling in from Mussoorie, Rishikesh, Haridwar and Vikasnagar.
We are not a hospital and we are not a clinic. We do not diagnose, we do not treat, and we do not give second opinions on your report. Our role begins when you send the prescription and ends when the report is in your hands and your doctor's.

None of that is a hardware problem. It is an information problem, and it is the one this service exists to solve. What changes a patient's experience is rarely the machine: it is whether someone read the prescription properly, whether the price quoted is the price billed, and whether the report arrives when it was promised.
How a booking actually works
You send the prescription
By phone or on WhatsApp. We read what your doctor has actually asked for, which is more often ambiguous than patients realise, and confirm the exact study, the region and whether contrast is specified.
Safety screening and preparation
We run the MRI safety questions before you travel rather than when you arrive: pacemaker, cochlear implant, aneurysm clip, metallic fragments, recent surgery, pregnancy, kidney function. We also tell you the preparation, which for abdominal and pelvic work decides whether the scan is diagnostic at all.
One all-inclusive figure and a slot
A single number covering the scan, films, CD and the radiologist's report, so there is nothing to discover at the counter. If your prescription turns out to need something the original quote did not cover, you hear about it before the scan, not after.
The report reaches you
Routine studies are reported the same day, typically within four to six hours. You get the report digitally, with printed films available at the centre. Anything urgent is called through to your referring doctor directly rather than waiting in a queue.

Because we do not own a scanner, we have no reason to steer you towards one. If your question is better answered by CT than MRI, or by an ultrasound costing a fraction as much, we will say so.
We will tell you not to book
Every service page on this site carries a section explaining when that scan is the wrong test. Imaging you did not need finds things you did not need to know, and leads to investigation that carries its own risks.
What we do not claim
Diagnostic imaging is a field where marketing claims are cheap and difficult to check. Here is what this site deliberately does not say, and why.
- We do not claim to own scanners. We are a coordination service. A centre that owns only a 1.5T system has an incentive to tell you 1.5T is right for your problem. We do not have that incentive, and we would rather you knew why.
- We do not publish patient numbers or ratings. There are no "12,000 scans performed" counters and no star ratings on this site, because we are not prepared to display a figure we cannot evidence. Fabricated reviews also breach the Consumer Protection Act's misleading-advertisement rules.
- We do not claim to be the cheapest or the best. The prices shown on this site are published market rates across Dehradun centres, clearly labelled as such, so you can sanity-check any figure you are given — including ours.
- We do not claim round-the-clock availability or services we have not confirmed we can deliver.
- We do not offer foetal sex determination. It is a criminal offence in India under the PC-PNDT Act, and we will not take enquiries about it.

Do I need a doctor's prescription?
A referral is strongly recommended, and for contrast studies effectively required. The prescription tells the radiologist what clinical question they are answering, which determines the sequences, the planes and whether contrast is justified. A scan ordered without that context frequently produces technically fine images that do not answer the question you came with.
Can you interpret my report for me?
No, and we would be doing you a disservice if we tried. A radiology report is written for the doctor who requested it and is interpreted alongside your history, examination and blood results. Take it back to your referring doctor. Our blog explains how reports are structured, which makes them less intimidating to read, but that is not the same as clinical interpretation.
